“It’s just another example of how people are taking on this crazy idea of what rock art can be and how they can be a force in the world,” says singer-songwriter Matt Beles, who co-wrote “We Are Your Friends” with singer-singer Chris Gethard and produced “You Are The Wave.”
“We think it’s such a cool thing to do.”
The band, whose music has sold more than 200 million albums worldwide, says it’s excited to be part of this project, which is still being developed and is still in early stages.
They’re also hoping that their songs will be shared widely with others.
The band is hoping to share its music with others via the internet and on social media, with the goal of spreading awareness about mental health issues.
Beles says it has a social media team that is in place to handle that.
The band has been able to reach out to people and encourage them to reach mental health experts, he says.
Belies says they have also reached out to the people who helped develop the music for their music, and they’ve asked them to share their stories with the rest of the world.
He hopes people will use the music to support mental health.
The project is part of the group’s ongoing work on “We Can Make This Happen,” a video series called “Mindy Project” that explores mental health in a way that is respectful of the people involved.
In that video, Beles says he and his bandmates are “taking a little time to remember and reflect on what’s important to us.”
The group recently collaborated with singer and songwriter Kaitlin Olson on a song called “We Belong Together,” a song that they hope people will share on social networks, Belies says.
“You know, that’s just really the best way to say thank you, that we are here,” he says in the video.
